Dreamforce 2026: What Salesforce Actually Announced
Salesforce announced AIforce, Koa and a portfolio of prebuilt agents at Dreamforce '26, held 15 to 17 September 2026 at Moscone Center. The headline items are a pilot and a beta with no published price. The things you can actually deploy this quarter, six named agents and multi-agent orchestration, got considerably less stage time.
No pricing announcement of any kind was made at Dreamforce. That matters more than it sounds, because Salesforce had promised on 3 September that industry cloud pricing would follow "later this fall", and Dreamforce was the obvious venue for it. It did not happen.
What you can actually deploy today
These carry the words "GA now" on Salesforce's own agent portfolio page, which is the most status-precise page Salesforce published for the whole event. Anchor availability claims there rather than to conference coverage.
| Announcement | What it does | Status, in Salesforce's words |
|---|---|---|
| Casey | Customer service across voice, SMS, WhatsApp, web chat | GA now |
| Paige | IT and HR service across Slack and portals | GA now |
| Carter | Shopper discovery and compare with in-chat checkout | GA now |
| Marshall | Back-office orchestration with deterministic execution | GA now |
| Piper | Inbound lead engagement and qualification | GA now |
| Fin | Complex CX workflows | GA now |
| Multi-Agent Orchestration | One agent delegating to others in the same org | GA now |
| Data 360 MCP Server | Around 200 Data 360 APIs exposed over MCP | Generally available now |
| Slackforce Surfaces | Dashboards and reports generated inside Slack | Available today |
Slackforce Surfaces is the one most customers can use immediately without a project, because it reaches down to free Slack teams. Salesforce's Slack announcement states it is available for "Enterprise+, Business+, Pro, Legacy, and Free Teams who have Slackbot enabled". The gate is Slackbot being switched on, not your Slack tier. The live data part of it "begins rollout in October", so the surfaces you build this month refresh on a delay.
What is pilot, beta or still months away
This is where the keynote's centre of gravity sat, and where the coverage has been loosest.
| Announcement | Status, in Salesforce's words |
|---|---|
| Koa, the CRM reasoning model | "available to select pilot customers now"; GA expected "in U.S. regions in Winter 2026" |
| Hunter, the outbound sales agent | Pilot now; GA November '26 |
| Agent Optimizer | GA October '26 |
| Agentforce Coworker with AI Skills | Pilot now; GA October '26 |
| Headless 360 MCP Server | Open beta available now |
| Headless Experience Layer | Open beta available now |
| Builder Central | Beta from the week after Dreamforce, free in every org |
| Enterprise AI Harness unified experience | Begins rolling out early fiscal FY28 |
Koa deserves a correction that most coverage got wrong. It is not a Salesforce foundation model built from scratch. Salesforce post-trained it on NVIDIA's Nemotron open-weight family, using a synthetic dataset modelled on its own CRM deployment history, and states that no customer data was used in training. The benchmark claim of three times fewer errors runs against Salesforce's own CRM Bench, with no published methodology and no named comparator models. Treat it as a vendor result, because that is what it is.
If your data residency sits in the EU or the UK, Koa is not a 2026 line item at all. GA is US regions only, with no international date published.
The status word to distrust: Agentforce Coworker
Salesforce published two different answers in the same week. The AIforce announcement says Agentforce Coworker "is instantly available to Salesforce customers". The agent portfolio page lists "Agentforce Coworker with AI Skills" as pilot now with GA in October. Salesforce Help carried it as Beta as of August 2026.
The reconciliation is probably that base Coworker is available and the AI Skills layer is in pilot, but Salesforce does not say that anywhere. We have raised this pattern before and it keeps recurring: where Salesforce pages disagree, prefer the most specific and explicitly dated one, and confirm entitlement with your account team before you plan around it.
What AIforce actually is, in one paragraph
AIforce is an umbrella brand, not a shipping technical artifact. No developer documentation, API or metadata type carries that name. Underneath it are two real, documented, open-beta products that both shipped before the keynote: the Headless 360 MCP Server, which lets any MCP-aware client reach Salesforce data and invoke actions, and the Headless Experience Layer, which renders interactive components on surfaces outside Salesforce. Knowing those two names is the difference between reading the documentation and reading the press release.
What was not announced
- Industry cloud pricing. Financial Services, Health, Education, Nonprofit, Revenue, Commerce and the marketing line all still sit on their old edition ladders. We checked every one of those pricing pages on 22 September 2026 and none had moved to Core, Advanced and Max.
- A price for Claudeforce. It is a headline product in beta with no commercial terms published by either Salesforce or Anthropic.
- Any change to Flex Credits. No new rate card, no allocation change, no credit price disclosure.
- Pricing for the Enterprise AI Harness, which Salesforce explicitly deferred to "closer to general availability", with the unified experience not arriving until early FY28.
- Anything substantive for Tableau Next, MuleSoft, Commerce Cloud or Marketing Cloud customers. They appear inside the Harness narrative and the MCP plumbing, and essentially nowhere else.
The story that broke the weekend before, and was never mentioned on stage
Around 14 September, days before the conference, The Information reported that Salesforce had quietly dropped "Agentforce" from product names. Sales Cloud returned, replacing Agentforce Sales. Headless 360 Platform reverted to Salesforce Platform. Agentforce 360 kept its name.
Salesforce has never confirmed or explained this, and said nothing about it during three days of keynotes. But its own pricing pages corroborate it. The Sales Cloud pricing page is titled Sales Cloud and uses "Agentforce for Sales" only as a feature inside editions. The Service pricing page is titled Service Cloud. If you have been renaming things in your internal documentation to match the October 2025 rebrand, stop and wait.
Frequently Asked Questions
When was Dreamforce 2026 and what was the main announcement?
Dreamforce '26 ran from 15 to 17 September 2026 at Moscone Center in San Francisco. The main keynote headline was AIforce, described by Salesforce as "a live interface layer that brings the full power of Salesforce to wherever people and agents work". Underneath the brand sit two open-beta products, the Headless 360 MCP Server and the Headless Experience Layer.
Was Claudeforce announced at Dreamforce 2026?
No. Claudeforce was announced on 26 August 2026 alongside Salesforce's Q2 FY27 earnings. Dreamforce is where the beta opened, not where the product was unveiled. A great deal of coverage gets this wrong. Access is gated: Salesforce approves orgs through a beta request form rather than switching it on for everyone.
Did Salesforce announce new pricing at Dreamforce 2026?
No pricing or packaging announcement was made at Dreamforce '26. The Core, Advanced and Max edition ladder at USD 195, USD 395 and USD 550 per user per month was announced separately on 3 September 2026. Industry cloud pricing was promised for "later this fall" and had still not appeared as of 22 September 2026.
Is Koa available now?
Koa is available to select pilot customers only. Salesforce expects general availability in US regions in Winter 2026, with an open beta starting shortly after. No pricing, credit consumption rate or international availability date has been published, and no pilot signup mechanism is documented publicly.
What to do with this before your next planning cycle
The specific problem this creates for a Salesforce customer is that the announcements with the most stage time are the ones you cannot buy, and the ones you can buy have no pricing attached in three cases out of four. Budgeting from a keynote is not possible this year.
If you want the buyable subset mapped against your renewal date and your current edition, we can do that with you in an afternoon. Start with the six GA agents and multi-agent orchestration, because those are the only items on the list with both a status and a home in your existing licence.
